I doubt Duwop Lip Venom will be appearing anytime soon at Beauty Bar because the last time I was in the store there were none and it has been like almost 2 years I’ve been looking for it.

I guess the hype died down eons ago and the sales didn’t move up since a small bottle cost a thousand bucks so the company decided not to distribute it anymore. Tough!

Instead, what was offered to us was from a new line of products called L’Action.

L’Action Volume Lip Enhancer

This lip enhancer has a very luscious and kissable lip display on the packaging. Ala Angelina Jolie to be exact. Not bad. It’s very catchy and I love it. Though, it looks cheap hanging in the shelves like a drugstore brand.

Use within 4 weeks to see the final result!

Under 1 minute application you can see your lips kissable but doesn’t last the whole day. You need to keep on re-applying through out the day to have your lips get used to it.

Though, you don’t need to see within 4 weeks to get the results. I notice mine within a week looking soft and a wee full but not like those of Angelina Jolie’s but it’s enough. It’s temporary but at least it doesn’t look surgical fake if you know what I mean.

Oligopeptide–what??

The description did not expound what Oligopeptide is. So I did a little research and found out that this ingredient contains several amino acid that stimulates collagen production especially for anti-ageing skin care.

Does this volumize the lips? Theoretically accdg to Paula, it only helps the skin function in normal healthy way and as a part of “peptide“, this does not work to the visible extend that of Botox, Laser or derma filters.

Actual product is nude lip brush type gloss.

However, if used in a stable manner, this encourages the production of Hyaluronic acids which in turn, hydrates the surrounding tissue and keeps the skin-tight resulting to plump healthy lips.

Surprisingly, these are commonly used in Hollywood known as Restylane and Juvéderm. Accdg to wikipedia, both injections contains hyaluronic acid and can last 6 months or more.

Made in France!

Open jar icon is visible on the product itself. 12 months top, no less. Made in France is something of a novelty since I know most production are either done in China, Thailand or Malaysia for Asian markets. Rarely can you get something made in Europe (UK, France and Italy) that is sold in Asia.

L’Action by Mediatic Labs cost Php 525 at Beauty Bar.

Surprisingly this lip gloss doesn’t feel heavy and sticky when applied. It’s lightly scented to that of “warm” vanilla (if my nose is right). It’s kinda tasteless unlike some lip gloss brand.

On my lips, they become clear but glossy.  I suggest you use a lip stain and let it dry before adding this on. It’s looks pretty much cool.

Is it worth it?
Hmm…to begin with my lips are not thin unlike some. They’re pretty much normal. Most of the time, I fill them up with a gloss-type lipstick and they’re good as go.

As lip gloss, they don’t feel “runny” or weird but Php525 is quite a buck there with no color or tint but this is good as go compare to buying other well-known drugstore brands.

But if you want an “au naturale” looking lip enhancer without undergoing injection (on a cheaper price), then this is it.

Will I buy again?
No. I have no use for lip gloss and prefer using moisturizing lipstick or tinted lip balm.
